Out with the old, in with the new—wish lists; why you should have one
With all this fashion week buzz, it's easy to get caught up in materialistic goods, and falling into the impulse purchase trap of buying something in the heat of the 'seeing-the-model-wearing-it-street-style' moment. That's why I have a wishlist, to avoid making decisions I will most likely regret later on...
My wish list is a carefully considered, and curated collection of clothing and beyond—that suits my style and fits in my 'uniform'. Items only make it onto the wish list if they deeply impact my heart (as corny as that sounds)—and this usually means they are coined by industry as 'last season' (due to the time in which I take to consider the worthiness of the piece). This never bothers me as I don't believe in seasons or trends, only in the good and the god damn ugly (and we've seen our fair share this #nyfw).
I'm a firm believer in a capsule wardrobe (a collection of a few essential items that don't go out of fashion), and I only ever act on my wish list if the current item in use for that purpose is wearing thin... literally.
So, I will let you in on my secret wish list. Scroll down. What's on yours?
and because I'm greedy, I'll take the full length version also:
